Riding Hills Farm: Local Walking
There are some beautiful walks to be discovered in the Tyne Valley, a few of them in the immediate vicinity of Riding Hills farm. The photographs below were all taken on a cameraphone in the last year.

Within ½ a mile of Riding Hills Farm
Riding Hills Farm is surrounded by farmland and overlooks the Tyne Valley to the East; below are a few images taken from the footpath leading from the property towards Riding Mill.


Within 1½ miles of Riding Hills Farm
There are several footpaths through and around Dipton Woods which cover the South West of Prospect Hill (Riding Hills Farm is situated at the Eastern end of the hill). The photographs below were all taken in these woods throughout the seasons.


...A bit further away
The photographs below were all taken at Allen Banks, a 250 hectare area of ancient semi-natural woodland beside the River Allen near Haydon Bridge. A haven of flora, fauna and fungi, the site is operated by the National Trust and is free to access all year round.
